Tucker Carlson in a recent show announced that despite the current belief held by many if not most people in the U.S., illegals CAN vote in U.S. elections.
Exposed: Loophole in U.S. Law Allows Illegals to Vote Without Penalty
True the Vote discovered this anomaly in the U.S. code apparently, but is this really true?
Here is the U.S. code referenced and spoken of by Tucker and True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht:
(3) the alien reasonably believed at the time of voting in violation of such subsection that he or she was a citizen of the United States.
Now on first glance this looks pretty bad doesn’t it? Any illegal can simply claim that they believe that they are in fact a citizen of the United States, and poof, they can vote! The problem here is that a portion of the code was left out, said code was not referenced at all. Below is the code in question in its entirety:
18 U.S. Code § 611 – Voting by aliens
(a) It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, unless—
(1) the election is held partly for some other purpose;
(2) aliens are authorized to vote for such other purpose under a State constitution or statute or a local ordinance; and
(3) voting for such other purpose is conducted independently of voting for a candidate for such Federal offices, in such a manner that an alien has the opportunity to vote for such other purpose, but not an opportunity to vote for a candidate for any one or more of such Federal offices.
(b) Any person who violates this section shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
(c) Subsection (a) does not apply to an alien if—
(1) each natural parent of the alien (or, in the case of an adopted alien, each adoptive parent of the alien) is or was a citizen (whether by birth or naturalization);
(2) the alien permanently resided in the United States prior to attaining the age of 16; and
(3) the alien reasonably believed at the time of voting in violation of such subsection that he or she was a citizen of the United States.
At first as one reads this code, specifically subsection (c), (1), (2), (3) – it looks like this is a complete farce, no one can just claim themselves to be a citizen of the U.S. when they in fact are not, and then vote – don’t be ridiculous, right?
In order for illegals to vote (illegals are allowed to legally vote in some local elections) in federal elections, some prerequisites must first be met:
First, the illegal’s parents must have been U.S. citizens, BUT – said parents can also be FORMER U.S. citizens. Now why did Congress include that nice little loophole do you suppose? This also applies to adoptive parents as well.
Second, the illegal must have resided in the U.S. before attaining the age of 16.
Let me put this into perspective. All the above, the parental requirements and residency – this can all be faked quite easily. Forge a few documents, and simply state that you BELIEVE that you are a U.S. citizen (After all, illegals have rights you know), and you (the illegal) can vote in a federal election.
Let’s be serious here – WHO is going to investigate whether or not these claims are true? Who is going to be willing to spend that kind of time and money? Answer – NO ONE.
Now stop for a moment and think of how MANY illegals have crossed our borders since good ole Joe Biden and the Democrats rolled out the welcome wagon for them? How many illegals are here? How many will vote for Joe Biden or another leftist willing to give them what they feel they deserve? And let me tell you, many of these illegals THINK that they deserve a LOT – free housing, free medical care, welfare benefits, free food, free schooling, a free driver’s license etc., all while flying the flag of THEIR country and doing whatever they please and telling us where to shove it if we don’t like it – these are after all their RIGHTS! Oh, and don’t forget, YOU get to pay for ALL of it.
How many of these illegals are members of extremely dangerous gangs like MS13 (Who are known to be very violent, and willing to kill for any reason or no reason at all)? How many are operatives of foreign countries? Who are members of “sleeper cells” waiting to be activated? How many are those who hate the U.S.?
Joe Biden does NOT have your best interests at heart, no good ole Joe Biden serves Joe Biden, not his country.
Donald Trump irritates a lot of people (understandably). But the question you need to ask yourself is who does a better job in the office of the president?
Is it Joe Biden who spends money like we have an infinite amount of it, has decimated our military, left behind BILLIONs of dollars in military equipment, and MILLIONs of dollars in ammo when we pulled out of Afghanistan, supports open borders and spends millions on giving illegals “benefits” and housing, does NOT support closing our border with walls and fencing (So as to protect ourselves) while giving foreign countries BILLIONs of dollars to protect THEIR borders, wants to phase out the oil industry in favor of “green” energy that doesn’t work very well, and is therefore not reliable, and last but not even close to the least – Biden wants to forgive all college loans.
Or is it Donald Trump, yes, the irritating guy on Twitter (X now), the braggart, the exaggerator etc. What people need to realize (Because it is highly apparent that they do not based on the gazillions of comments I’ve seen on social media or that have been told to my face) is that Trump was not and is not being elected to be our school teacher, or our minister, our counselor or therapist, our choir boy, our etiquette practitioner/enforcer or a hundred other idiotic ideas of what Trump is supposed to be.
Trump was elected to be the President of the United States, and let me clue some of you in here – you DON’T have to like him personally for him to be effective. The question isn’t whether or not his personality pleases you or not – no, the real question you should be asking is this: is Trump qualified to effectively run this country (or whoever else)?
Trump approached running the U.S. like it was a business, and like the We the People mattered. The economy was better, we were approaching energy independence, companies were returning from overseas to operate inside the U.S., companies for the first time in a long time were handing out bonuses and increasing retirement contributions, taxes went down (By the way, Biden wants to again increase your taxes). He also closed a good portion of our border to illegals, thus strengthening our country, made our military viable again (Recruitment was way up versus being way down under Biden), kept foreign countries in line – remember North Korea behaved under the Trump Admin., and Russia did not dare to attack Ukraine, and the list goes on and on.
How you vote is up to you and no one else, or it should be anyway.
Do you really want a guy who allows any and all illegals to cross our border, gives them sanctuary and loads of financial help (at YOUR expense), will allow them to vote/ look the other way when they do, spends money like there is no limit to how much he can spend/give away, and is basically running our country right into the ground?
Or do you want to elect the guy who says things you do not like, has a personality or parts thereof that you don’t care for – but is eminently qualified to run this country and run it well?
