Cosmic Geography – The War: God and Magog
The forces of darkness arrayed against us can be daunting, but Jesus Christ as already won the battle, so shall we if we remain in Christ
Proverbs 25:2-3 “2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. 3 As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the hearts and minds of kings are unsearchable.”
- The ancient rabbis explained this as a reference to the countless details of government that are a king’s responsibility. This is one of the reasons we have been talking about government – there are two. The government of the kingdoms of Light and Darkness.
There is an ongoing war Between these governments of kingdoms. Good and Evil are in spiritual/Physical realms since the fall of Adam, continue in the fallen angels [which we will talk about] and the Nimrod the King of Babel at Shinar.
The Grotto of god Pan
Caesarea Philippi was located north of Galilee, near Mount Hermon, in the region of Bashan and King Og as we will review. That area was known as the place of the serpent and was the center of Greek worship. They believed the half-goat, half-man God Pan, lived in this mystical cave.
Deuteronomy 3:8-9,11,13 “8 So we took the land at that time from the hand of the two kings [Sihon and Og] of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon. 9 (the Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir in 1 Chronicle 5:23): 11 (For only Og king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the [the giants known as the] Rephaim. Behold, his bed frame was a bed frame of iron; is it not in Rabbah of the Ammonites? It was nine cubits (12 ft.) long and four cubits (6 ft.) wide, using the cubit of a man [the forearm to the end of the middle finger].) 13 The rest of Gilead and all of Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, all the region of Argob (concerning all Bashan, it is called the land of Rephaim.”
Rephaim [H 7495]: Old tribe of giants. Translated in AMP and KJV as giants.
The geographic area, with the cities and Mount Hermon, was ruled by King Og, the last of the Rephaim, and was considered a gateway to the underworld. The imposing cliff [77 yards long and 44 yards high] above the area of Caesarea Philippi is where Jesus took his disciples and made his declaration to the spirit realm.
Rephaim translated in Deuteronomy as Giants:
Nephilim [H 5303] (3x): Giant (bully).
- Genesis 6:4 (1x): There were giants in the earth.
- Numbers 13:33 (2x): Giants – the sons of Anak (saw us as grasshoppers)
- Anak [H 6061] (9x): Long-necked (tall) men, early giant people about Hebron and in Philistia. You may recall the intense battle with Joshua and his army.
The Declaration of War
Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity (open hostility) between you and the woman, and between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; He [Yeshua] shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you [HaSatan] shall [only] bruise His heel.” [AMP]
- Genesis 3:15 Many consider this verse the protevangelium [Noun: a messianic interpretation of a text] presaging man’s ultimate triumph over sin through a coming Savior —used as the first anticipation of the gospel, the first announcement of the gospel. This is the first prophecy about the Messiah (Christ), who through His death on the cross and resurrection would ultimately defeat Satan, the power behind the serpent, with a death blow.
Seed [H 2232]: Descendants, posterity; the seed of the woman.
Bruise [ 7779] (2x): To gape upon. To lie in wait for anything [a Lion] and [a serpent]. He shall lie in wait for thy head, and he shall lie in wait for his heel.
Matthew 16:18-20 “16 And I say to you that you are Peter [G 4074: Petros – a small, detached stone], and on this rock [G 4073: Petra – cliff, ledge, and bedrock or a huge rock] I will build My church; and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ].
- Build [G 3618]: from the ground up.
- Church [G 1577]: Ekklesia. Finally, to this point after all the teaching. The whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth; collectively, all who worship and honor God and Christ in whatever place they may be.
- Gates [G 4439] (10x): The gates of hell (likened to a vast prison). Metaphor – access or entrance into any state.
Ruth 4:1-2,11 “1 Then Boaz went up to the city gate [where business and legal matters were settled] and sat down, and then the close relative (redeemer) of whom Boaz had spoken came by. He said to him, “Come over here, friend, and sit down.” So, he came and sat down. 2 Then Boaz took ten men from the elders of the city and said, “Sit down here.” And they sat down. 11 All the people at the gate and the elders said, “We are witnesses…”
- Hell [G 86] (11x): The grave, death, hades.
- Prevail Against [G 2729] (2x): Meaning, ‘not even the gates of Hades — than which nothing was supposed to be stronger — shall surpass the church in strength.
The significance of the setting cannot be minimized: Jesus is taking the fight directly to the symbolic stronghold of Satan’s kingdom. So, when he says, “Upon this rock, I will build my church,” that phrase is filled with meaning and foretelling. Jesus begins at ground zero in the cosmic geography from Genesis to this declaration or continuing war and the great reversal. With the Messiah, and the “renewed covenant” [New Testament] of the 2nd Ekklesia, it is the gates of hell, and the demonic realm, which are under assault, and they will not hold up nor prevail against the Priest/Legislative Body of the Ekklesia on earth.
Psychosis and Psychotic Episodes:
Psychosis is a condition that affects the way your brain processes information. It causes you to lose touch with reality. You might see, hear, or believe things that are not real. Psychosis is a symptom, not an illness. It can be triggered by a mental illness, a physical injury or illness, substance abuse, or extreme stress or trauma.
Psychotic disorders, like schizophrenia, involve psychosis that usually affects you for the first time in the late teen years or early adulthood. Young people are especially likely to get it, but doctors do not know why. Even before what doctors call the first episode of psychosis (FEP), you may show slight changes in the way you act or think. This is called the prodromal period and could last days, weeks, months, or even years. Sometimes you can lose touch with reality even when you don’t have a primary psychotic illness such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. When this happens, it is called secondary psychosis.
What are not mental issues:
Luke 8:30-33 “30 Then Jesus asked him, ‘What is your name? And he answered, ‘Legion’ [5,200 – 5,600 infantry and 300 Cavalry: Wikipedia] because many demons had entered him. 31 They continually begged Him not to command them to go into the abyss. 32 Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the mountain. The demons begged Jesus to allow them to enter the pigs, and He permitted them. 33 Then the demons came out of the man and entered the pigs; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.”
- With this example, we can reasonably state that with the power [G 1411: (doonamis) power for performing miracles] of the Holy Spirit a member of the Ecclesia could not command a brain, abnormality, or psychosis to go into a herd of swine/pigs.
Luke 11:24-26 “24 When the unclean spirit comes out of a person, it roams through waterless places [disembodied spirits from the flood – upcoming session] in search [of a place] of rest; and not finding any, it says, ‘I will go back to my house (person) from which I came.’ 25 And when it comes, it finds the place swept and put in order. 26 Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil [G 4191 (2x): wicked] than itself, and they go in [the person] and live there, and the last state of that person becomes worse than the first.”
Acts 19:13-16 “13 Then some of the traveling Jewish exorcists also attempted to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, ‘I implore you and solemnly command you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.’ 14 Seven sons of one [named] Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 But the evil spirit retorted, ‘I know and recognize and acknowledge Jesus, and I know about Paul, but as for you, who are you?’ 16 Then the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them so that they ran out of that house [in terror, stripped] naked and wounded.”
- While a man with psychosis or schizophrenia may be able to overpower and beat and tear the clothes off of seven men, the answer of knowing about Paul and acknowledging Jesus makes it unlikely. When dealing with exorcisms in the past, the ability to make particular body movements, changing vocalization, the sudden stench of sulfur, speaking in a foreign language, or a type of garbled demonic language certainly did not seem to be within the theory or evaluation of a mental disorder.

The Apocrypha Books
The Apocrypha is a collection of pre-New Testament works by Jewish writers, many collected in the Septuagint, a Greek translation of Hebrew texts including the 39 canonical [authorized] books of the Old Testament. These books are considered Scripture by the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church, but not by Protestant denominations.

Tobit 5:4 “4 And not knowing that he was an angel of God, he saluted him, and said: From whence art thou, good young man?”
Tobit 12:15,18-19 “15 For I am the angel Raphael, one of the seven, who stand before the Lord. 18 For when I was with you, I was there by the will of God: bless ye him and sing praises to him. 19 I seemed to eat and to drink with you: but I use an invisible meat and drink, which cannot be seen by men.

Invisible Power of the Heavenly [spirit] Realm [Dimension]
Psalm 78:49 “He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil [H 745: wicked, malignant] angels [H 4397: messengers] among them.”
- We will study Angels [H 4397] in numerous ways depending on the adjective description of the noun or pronoun.
Colossians 1:15-20 “15 He is the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible], the firstborn [the preeminent one, the sovereign, and the originator] of all creation. 16 For by [In] Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him and for Him. 17 And He [Himself] existed and is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. 18 He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church [past, present, and future]; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead so that He [Himself] will occupy the first place [He will stand supreme and be preeminent] in everything. 19 For it pleased the Father for all the fullness [of deity] to dwell [permanently] in Him (the Son), 20 and through [the intervention of] the Son to reconcile all things to Himself, making peace [with believers] through the blood of His cross; through Him, [I say,] whether things on earth or things in heaven.” [AMP]
Colossians 1:16 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” [KJV]
- Thrones [G 2362]: To judges i.e., tribunal or bench. Elders. One who holds dominion or exercises authority, thus in the plural of angels:
- Dominions [G 2962] (3x): Used of Angels. Dominion, power, lordship. (Ephesians 1:21 and Jude 1:8]
- Principalities [G 746] – [Rulers AMP]: the first place, principality, rule, magistracy [cf. English ‘authorities’]: Luke 12:11; Luke 20:20; Titus 3:1. Office given in charge (Genesis 40:13, 21; 2 Macc. 4:10, etc.), Jude 1:6. Hence the term is transferred by Paul to angels and demons holding dominions entrusted to them in the order of things.
- Powers [G 1849] – [Authorities AMP]: The leading and more powerful among created beings superior to man, spiritual potentates; used in the plural of a certain class of angels. 1 Peter 3:22
1 Peter 3:22 “Who is gone into heaven and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.” [KJV]
- God [G 2316] Theh’os: The Godhead Trinity. The Supreme Being.
- Angels [G 32] Angelos: Envoy or messenger of God
- Authorities [G 1849] Power above.
- Powers [G 1411] Angels, as excelling in power, are called [δυνάμεις]: dúnamis or dynámeis – power, a level of angels. Wiktionary.org
The Faithful and Loyal
- Psalm 91:11 “For he shall give his angels [H 4397: messenger, representative: not the “Theophanic Angel” – Yeshua] charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
- Psalm 103:20 “Bless the Lord, ye his angels [H 4397], which excel in strength and perform his commandments hearkening unto the voice of his word.”
- Psalm 104:4 “Who makes his angels [H 4397] spirits; [H 7303: Roo’akh] his ministers [H 8334: as servants] a flaming [H 3857: blazing, scorch] fire [H 784: supernatural fire – sometimes God’s anger].”
- Psalm 148:2 “Praise ye him, all his angels [H 4397]: praise ye him, all his hosts [H 6635: Army host of heaven].
Some Identify Levels:
- Principalities – The kings/ heavens rulers.
- Dominions – comparable to presidents,
- Virtues – High judge,
- Archon – Bringers of judgement.
- Powers – Enforcers of the law.
- Thrones – spreading the law/ mayors.
- Guardians – Guardians of the universe, can be seen as with guardian angels.
Before talking about God, or the definition and verses on Elohim, let us look at the mystery of the heavenly council.
Jehovah’s Heavenly Council
Council of the Lord
As we will study in a minute, in Psalms 89:5-7 the scriptures describe “the council of the holy ones of God is greatly feared.” These verses present a divine council: heavenly beings referred to as “the council of the holy ones.” Psalm 82:1, as we will study in the Word of God regarding Elohim, also indicates that “God has taken his place in the divine council” (Psalm 82:1, ESV). The “divine council” is also called the “great assembly” (NIV), “heaven’s court” (NLT), and “His own congregation” (NASB).
Psalm 89:5-7 “5 The heavens (angels) praise Your wonders, O Lord, Your faithfulness also in the assembly [H 6951: not Ekklesia] of the holy ones [H 6918: Angels]. 6 For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the divine beings is like the Lord, 7 A God [H 410: El, God of gods] greatly feared and reverently worshiped in the council [H 5475: Council – secret counsel] of the holy [H 6918: Angels], and awesome above all those who are around Him? [AMP]
- Psalm 89:5-7 “5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. 6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all of them that are about him.” [KJV]
This divine council is also referenced in Nehemiah 9:6. The “host” of the “heaven of heavens” are most likely angelic beings. God is the Lord of hosts (Psalm 24:10; Isaiah 44:6). The God who presides in the heavenly council is sovereign over all, including the spiritual beings in His divine council.
- Nehemiah 9:6 “[And Ezra said], “You are the Lord, ‘You alone;’ You have made the heavens, the heaven of heavens with all their host [H 6635: (organized body) of angels], The earth and everything that is on it, the seas and everything that is in them. You give life to all of them, and the heavenly [H 8064: the highest heavens cannot hold him] host [H 6635] is bowing down [in worship] to You.” [AMP]
Organized Host: Luke 2:13 “Then suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host (angelic army) praising God…”
- Psalm 24:10 “Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.”
- Isaiah 44:6 “For the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts says this, ‘I am the First and I am the Last; And there is no God besides Me.”
Jeremiah 23:16-18 “16 Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Do not listen to the words of the [false] prophets who prophesy to you. They are teaching you worthless things and are leading you into futility; They speak a vision of their mind and imagination And not [truth] from the mouth of the Lord. 17 “They are continually saying to those who despise Me [and My word], ‘The Lord has said, ‘You will have peace.’ And they say to everyone who walks after the stubbornness of his own heart, ‘No evil will come on you.’ 18 ‘But who [among them] has stood in the council of the Lord, That he would perceive and hear His word? Who has marked His word [noticing and observing and paying attention to it] and has [actually] heard it? But if they had stood in My council, Then they would have caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned My people from their evil way And the evil of their decisions and deeds.”
- Council [H 5475]: (2x in OT in these verses) Different form Counsel [H 6098 – instruction, guidance]. In the intimate circle of י׳ [Yud – creator of the world]
1 Kings 22:7-8,11-23 “7 But Jehoshaphat [doubted and] said, ‘Is there not another prophet of the Lord here whom we may ask?’ 8 The king of Israel [Ahab] said to Jehoshaphat, ‘There is one more man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord, but I hate him because he never prophesies good news for me, but only evil.’ [Skip down to the prophets who continue their lies] 11 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron and said, ‘Thus says the Lord: with these, you will gore the Arameans (Syrians) until they are destroyed.’ 12 All the prophets were prophesying in the same way [to please Ahab], saying, ‘Go up to Ramoth-gilead and be successful, for the Lord will hand it over to the king.’ 13 Then the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, ‘Listen carefully, the words of the prophets are unanimously favorable to the king. Please let your words be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.’ 14 But Micaiah said, ‘As the Lord lives, I will speak what the Lord says to me.’
15 So when he came to the king, the king said to him, ‘Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead in battle, or shall we not?’ And he answered him, ‘Go up and be successful, for the Lord will hand it over to the king.’ 16 But the king [doubted him and] said to him, ‘How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?’ 17 And he [Micaiah] said, “I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, like sheep that have no shepherd. And the Lord said these have no master. Let each of them return to his house in peace.
18 Then the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, ‘Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?’”
Amplified Bible 1 Kings 22:19-23:
“19 Micaiah said, ‘Therefore, hear the word of the Lord. I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the hosts (army of Angels) of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and His left. 20 The Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said this, while another said that. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will entice him.’ 22 The Lord said to him, ‘How?’ And he [the spirit] said, ‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ Then the Lord said, ‘You are to entice him and also succeed. Go and do so.’ 23 Now then, behold, the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these prophets; and the Lord has proclaimed disaster against you.” [AMP]
Complete Jewish Bible 1 Kings 22:19-23:
“19 Mikhay’hu continued: “Therefore hear the word of Adonai. I saw Adonai sitting on his throne with the whole army of heaven standing by him on his right and his left. 20 Adonai asked, ‘Who will entice Ach’av to go up to his death at Ramot-gilead?’ One of them said, ‘Do it this way,’ and another, ‘Do it that way.’ 21 Then a spirit stepped up, stood in front of Adonai, and said, ‘I will entice him.’ 22 Adonai asked, ‘How?’ and he answered, ‘I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets.’ Adonai said, ‘You will succeed in enticing him. Go, and do it.’ 23 So now Adonai has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours; meanwhile, Adonai has ordained disaster for you.” [Complete Jewish Bible]
King James Version 1 Kings 22:19-23:
“19 And he said, hear thou, therefore, the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host [H 6635: Army of Angels] of heaven standing by him on his right hand and his left. 20 And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said in this manner, and another said in that manner. 21 And there came forth a spirit [H7307 – (Rooakh): breath, wind], and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him. 22 And the Lord said unto him, wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying [H 8267: an untruth; by implication, a sham, deceiving, and lie] spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he [Jehovah] said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth and do so. 23 Now, therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.” [KJV]
Let me emphasize, our God does not need a divine council to give Him ideas or to approve His decisions. He and He alone is the omniscient God Almighty [El Shaddai – Psalm 91:1]. In His wisdom, God has created a divine council to stand in His presence and graciously allows them to participate in various judgments and decrees.
It is a wonder that God allows created beings to be privy to His ways and even have input in His plan. The divine council is privileged to participate in God’s plans, and, to an extent, so are we. As James stated in Chapter 5:16, “The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man/woman can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. And God chooses true believers [you and me] as ministers of reconciliation in the sharing of the gospel: Matthew 28:18–19 and 2 Corinthians 5:18.
Heavenly Sanhedrin
Revelation 4:4 “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats, I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.”
Revelation 5:5 “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
Revelation 5:8 “And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.”
Revelation 19:4 “And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.”
- Elders [H 4245]: The twenty-four members of the heavenly Sanhedrin or court, seated on thrones around the throne of God: Revelation 4:4, 10; Revelation 5:5, 6, 8, 11, 14; Revelation 7:11, 13; Revelation 11:16; Revelation 14:3; Revelation 19:4.
Hebrew Names of Jehovah
Yahweh: (Lord): [H 3068]: the proper name of God. (The) self-Existent or Eternal.
- The name of God used most often in the Hebrew Bible is YHWH known as a tetragrammaton (four-letter word). Hebrew is read right-to-left so the letters [Yōd, Hē, Vav, Hē] are taken for consonants and expanded to Yahweh or Jehovah in English. Used in 182 verses in Genesis alone: First Use.
Genesis 2:4 “These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.”
YHWH has been pronounced “Yehvah.”
In 306 occasions in the Torah, the vowels of ELOHIM have been used. In the eighth century, the common substitution for the Name YHWH was Adonai. To prevent someone from reading Adonai YHWH as “Adonai Adonai,” the scribes used the vowels of ELOHIM to suggest the reading as “Adonai ELOHIM,” i.e., “Lord GOD” in our English text.
Fifty-two times, the vowels of Yaho have crept in. Seventeen of these are in Jeremiah 1 through 5, as if to make fun of Jeremiah, who said, “Their fathers forgot My Name for Baal.”
El Shaddai: (God [H 430 – El] Almighty [H 7760 – Shaddai]: Most powerful.
- The all-sufficient God of the Mighty Breasted One. It is an expression that reflects God’s strength, majesty, and power. When translated into English, it is usually rendered as God Almighty. Eleven (11) exact phrases and 76 times in 37 verses. First Use:
Genesis 28:3 “And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people.”
Adonai: Lord [H 136: My Lord of H 113 – ad-o-noy] God [H 3069 = H 3068: Lord Jehovah]
- Adonai is the plural form of adon (Lord) and means ‘My Lords,’ referring to the Trinity. Adonai is never said out loud by Orthodox Jews, leading to its replacement by the title, HaShem (The Name).
Again, Adonai is a divine name, translated as “Lord,” and signifying, “sovereignty.” Adonai’s syntactic usage is normally interpreted as a plural of majesty. In the Hebrew Bible, it is almost entirely used to relate to God and is found in more than 400 verses throughout scripture. There are heavy uses of Adonai in Isaiah (Adonai Jehovah). It occurs 200 times in Ezekiel alone and appears 11 times in Daniel Chapter 9. Adonai is first used in answering Abram:
- Genesis 15:2 “And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
Elohim: God [H 430]: plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative: angels, God (gods), (very) great, judges, and mighty.
- Father God / God the Creator – In the beginning [Elohim] created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). This name comes from being in awe of His power displayed throughout nature. He is the Sovereign God, and God of Eternity. In the beginning, He created – just by the power of His spoken Word. What an amazing God we serve! “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created.” (Colossians 1:15-16)
Except for “YHWH”, the two most-common names/titles for God in the Biblia Hebraica (Hebrew Bible) are “Adonai,” which expresses authority or the exalted position of God, and “Elohim,” which expresses concepts of creative divinity. Apart from the name “YHWH,” it may be argued that the titles “Adonai” and “Elohim” say more about the God of Israel than any other name.
Both “Adonai” and “Elohim” Are Plural Hebrew Nouns: “Adonai” is the plural form of “Adon”, meaning “my lord”; and the name “Elohim” is the masculine plural form of “Eloah”.
Quick note on the letter J – Yeshua and Yehovah:
When Yeshua/Jesus was alive, the letter J did not exist. And his name was “Yeshua.” This name is the same place that we get the name “Joshua” from. Thus, the reason modern English translations use Joshua and Jesus as two separate names is to separate the two to prevent people from getting them mixed up.
The Letter J was invented for the Italian language by a man called “Gian Giorgio Trissino” in the year 1524. It was used in Roman Numerals, but back then, it was an alternative way of writing I, not its own letter. Before the letter J, Jesus’ name was pronounced “Yeh-Soos.” It wasn’t until the 17th century that the letter J became common in English. If you read some of the older versions of the King James Bible, you will see the letter I where today’s version has the letter J.
Before the Letter J was invented, to translate the Hebrew name “Yeshua” into English would have given you Yesus. This is what Jesus was known as for most of English history.
Divine of The Elohim – Yahweh
- Omnipresence/Omnipresent: [Yahweh – All Present] Present everywhere simultaneously.
- Omniscience/Omniscient: [Yahweh – All Knowing] The word omniscience derives from the Latin word ‘sciens’ (“to know” or “conscious”) and the prefix omni (“all” or “every”), but also means “all-seeing.” In its grandest and highest stage, is the capacity to know absolutely everything infinitely within their wider reality or verse of origin. His knowledge is absolute [Psalm 139:1-6, 1 John 3:19-20, 1 Corinthians 2:11].
- Omnipotent: [Yahweh – All Powerful] The (omni) all (potens) potent or all-powerful God. As YWHW, He can do anything that He chooses to do. As He told Moses – “I AM” all that I need to be.
- Omnibenevolence: [Yahweh] Perfectly just, all-loving, fully merciful, or any number of other qualities.

Mankind, we experience and understand the world around us with our five senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and feel. We comprehend pain, elements of survival [food, water, warmth] distance, gravity, and time from a human or better, a mortal standpoint in the physical realm or dimension. But the spirit realm or dimension is mysterious and incomprehensible. Nevertheless, the Scriptures clearly express both the physical and the spiritual dimensions. God, or better stated Yahweh, is outside of time [the physical realm or dimension of His creation].
- Isaiah 40:22 “He who sits above the circle of the earth for whom its inhabitants appear like grasshoppers — stretches out the heavens like a curtain, spreads them out like a tent to live in.”
- Psalm 57:5 “Be exalted, God, above heaven. May your glory be over all the earth.”
- Psalm 97:9 “For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.”
- Acts 7:49 “Heaven is My throne, and the earth is the footstool for My feet. What kind of house will you build for Me? says the Lord, ‘Or what place is there for My rest?”

Zechariah 3:8-9 “8 Now listen, Joshua, the high priest, you, and your colleagues who are sitting in front of you indeed they are men who are a symbol [of what is to come] for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the Branch [in Messianic glory]. 9 For behold, the stone which I have set before Joshua; on that one stone are seven eyes (symbolizing infinite intelligence, omniscience). Revelation 4:5 “From the throne came flashes of lightning and [rumbling] sounds and peals of thunder. Seven lamps of fire were burning in front of the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”
Definition of Elohim
A common name of God in the Hebrew Bible is Elohim (ĕlōhīm), the plural of (Eloah). When Elohim refers to God in the Hebrew Bible, singular verbs are used. The word is identical to Elohim meaning gods or magistrates and is equivalent to the ‘lhm found in Ugaritic [extinct Northwest Semitic language], where it is used for the pantheon of Canaanite gods, the children of El and conventionally vocalized as “Elohim” although the original Ugaritic vowels are unknown. When the Hebrew Bible uses Elohim not being a reference to God, it is plural (for example, Exodus 20:2). There are a few other such uses in Hebrew, for example, Behemoth. In form, plural or Strong’s Concordance word (H 929), is a singular of Egyptian derivation. In Modern Hebrew, the singular word Baal or ba’alim in some ancient texts may be singular, but as Behemoth, it may be plural. It was a title and honorific meaning “owner,” or “lord” in the Northwest Semitic languages spoken in the Levant during antiquity. From its use among people, it came to be applied to gods. [Wikipedia] Baal, in Christianity and Islam is sometimes defined as the form of Beelzebub in demonology.
Elohim [H 430] is the plural construct of “powers,” thus the Hebrew grammar allows for this form to mean “He is the Power (singular) over the powers (plural),” just as the word Ba’alim means “owner.” “He is lord (singular) even over any of those things that he owns that are lordly (plural).”
In many of the passages in which Elohim occurs in the Bible, it refers to non-Israelite deities, or in some instances to powerful men or judges, and even angels (Exodus 21:6, Psalms 8:5) as a simple plural in those instances.
The Hebrew Bible includes the use of the term in reference to various Levantine deities, often with application to Hadad, who was decried as a false god. That use was taken over into Christianity and Islam, sometimes under the form of Beelzebub in demonology.
- The Levant is an approximate historical geographical term referring to a large area in the Eastern Mediterranean region of Western Asia. In its narrowest sense, which is in use today in archaeology and other cultural contexts, it is equivalent to a stretch of land bordering the Mediterranean in South-western Asia, the historical region of Syria (“Greater Syria”), which includes present-day Cyprus, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and most of Turkey southwest of the middle Euphrates.

GOD, CHILDREN OF (“bene ha-Elohim,” perhaps= “sons of the gods”):
By: Emil G. Hirsch
The “sons of God” are mentioned in Genesis, in a chapter (vi. 2) which reflects preprophetic, mythological, and polytheistic conceptions. They are represented as taking, at their fancy, wives from among the daughters of men. For the interpretations given to this statement see Fall of Angels, and Flood in Rabbinical Literature. As there stated, the later Jewish and Christian interpreters endeavored to remove the objectionable implications from the passage by taking the term “bene ha-Elohim” in the sense of “sons of judges” or “sons of magistrates.” In the introduction to the Book of Job (i. 6, ii. 1) the “bene ha-Elohim” are mentioned as assembling at stated periods, Satan being one of them. Some Assyro-Babylonian mythological conception is held by the critical school to underlie this description of the gathering of the “sons of God” to present themselves before YHWH. Another conception, taken from sidereal religion, seems to underlie the use of the phrase in Job xxxv. 7.
The Israelites are addressed as “the children of the Lord your God” (Deut. xiv. 1). When Israel was young, he was called from Egypt to be God’s son (Hosea xi. 1). The Israelites are designated also “the children of the living God” (ib. ii. 1 [R.V. i. 10]; comp. Jer. iii. 4). They are addressed as “backsliding children” (Jer. iii. 14) that might and should call God their father (ib. iii. 19). Deut. xxxii. 5, though the text is corrupt, seems to indicate that through perverseness Israel has forfeited this privilege. Isaiah, also, apostrophizes the Israelites as “children [of God] that are corrupters,” though God has reared them (Isa. i. 4). As a man chastises his son, so does God chastise Israel (Deut. viii. 5); and like a father pities his children, so does God show pity (see Compassion).
The critical school refers this conception to the notion commonly obtaining among primitive races, that tribes and families as well as peoples are descended from gods regarded by them as their physical progenitors; community of worship indicating community of origin, or adoption into the clan believed to be directly descended from the tutelary god through the blood covenant. Hence the reproach, “Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast begotten me” (Jer. ii. 27). Even in Deutero-Isaiah (li. 2) this notion is said to prevail (“Look unto Abraham your father,” in correspondence with verse 1: “the rock whence ye are hewn”).
That this view was deepened and spiritualized to signify a much sublimer relation between the gods and their physical descendants than that which the old Semitic conception assumed, the following passages demonstrate: “Surely they are my people, children that will not lie” (Isa. lxiii. 8). “In all their affliction he was afflicted” (ib. verse 9). “Thou art our father, for Abraham knows us not” (ib. verse 16, Hebr.). “Thou art our father; we are the clay” (ib. lxiv. 8). “Have we not all one father?” (Mal. ii. 10).
The relation of God to the individual man is also regarded as that of a parent to his child. “For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but YHWH taketh me up” (Ps. xxvii. 10, Hebr.; comp. II Sam. vii. 14). That other peoples besides Israel are God’s children seems suggested by Jer. iii. 19, the rabbinical interpretation of the verse construing it as implying this ( , Tan., Mishpaṭim, ed. Buber, 10; Yalḳ., Jer. 270; Bacher, “Ag. Pal. Amor.” ii. 34, note 1).
Israel as the “first-fruits” ( ) is the “bekor,” or first-born, in the household of God’s children (Jer. ii. 3; Ex. iv. 22). In the interpretation of the modern Synagogue this means that Israel shall be an exemplar unto all the other children of God (see Lazarus, “Der Prophet Jeremias,” pp. 31, 32). According to the teachings of Judaism, as expounded in the Catechisms, every man is God’s child, and, therefore, the brother of every other man. Mal. ii. 10 is applied in this sense, though the prophet’s appeal was addressed solely to the warring brothers of the house of Israel. In this, modern Judaism merely adopts the teachings of the Apocrypha and of the Rabbis. See Ecclus. (Sirach) xxiii. 1, 4; li. 10; Wisdom ii. 13, 16, 18; xiv. 3 (comp. xviii. 13; III Macc. v. 7; Jubilees, i. 24); Job xiii. 4; Enoch lxii. 11; Psalms of Solomon, xvii. 30; Sifre, Deut. 48 (ed. Friedmann, 84b); Ab. iii. 14; R. H. iii. 8; Yer. Ma’as. 50c; Sifra (ed. Weiss), 93d; Midr. Teh. xii. 5 (comp. Bacher, “Ag. Tan.” ii. 437). See Son of God. (Source)

Satan [HaSatan]
Rabbi Stuart Federow [In an Article: “What Jews Believe” – 2013] – Also as an excerpt from Judaism and Christianity: A Contrast
There is “The Satan,” but not “The Devil.”
The Hebrew Scriptures tell of a character called The Satan. Every time the term is used in the Hebrew Scriptures, it reads, HaSaTaN, which means THE Satan. When the definite article, ‘the,’ is in front of a word it indicates a title, like ‘the rabbi,’ or ‘the reverend.’ So, in the Bible, the term ‘HaSatan,’ which means, ‘The Satan,’ is a title. The one with that title has a specific job, the same way it is used in speaking of ‘the rabbi,’ or of ‘the reverend.’
The concept of The Satan, or the job description, is radically different from that of the devil. For Christians, who erroneously use the two terms as if they are synonymous, the devil has power and authority in and of himself. However, in the Bible, The Satan only has power granted by Gd, and has no authority in and of himself. For the devil to have power and authority is to have more than one Gd.
The Satan is described in only a few places in the Hebrew Scriptures. In every instance, he is an angel who works “FOR” Gd, not against Gd, and must get permission from Gd for everything that he does. Chronicles, Job, Psalms, and Zechariah are the only places where The Satan is mentioned. In each instance, the job description of The Satan is to act like what we now call a Prosecuting Attorney, or District Attorney, and accuse and show evidence against the defendant. Furthermore, like a D.A., The Satan must obtain permission from Gd, the Judge, to begin a sting operation.
Wikipedia:
Satan, also known as the Devil, and sometimes also called Lucifer in Christianity, is an entity in the Abrahamic religions that seduces humans into sin or falsehood. In Judaism, Satan is seen as an agent subservient to God, typically regarded as a metaphor for the yetzer hara, or “evil inclination.” In Christianity and Islam, he is usually seen as a fallen angel or jinn who has rebelled against God, who nevertheless allows him temporary power over the fallen world and a host of demons. In the Quran, Shaitan, also known as Iblis, is an entity made of fire who was cast out of Heaven because he refused to bow before the newly created Adam and incites humans to sin by infecting their minds with waswās (“evil suggestions”).
A figure known as ha-satan (“the satan”) first appears in the Hebrew Bible as a heavenly prosecutor, subordinate to Yahweh (God), who prosecutes the nation of Judah in the heavenly court and tests the loyalty of Yahweh’s followers. [citation needed] During the intertestamental period, possibly due to influence from the Zoroastrian figure of Angra Mainyu, the Satan developed into a malevolent entity with abhorrent qualities in dualistic opposition to God. In the apocryphal Book of Jubilees, Yahweh grants the Satan (referred to as Mastema) authority over a group of fallen angels, or their offspring, to tempt humans to sin and punish them. (Source)
- Book of Jubilees 16:15-18 “15 And it came to pass in the seventh week, in the first year thereof, in the first month in this Jubilee, 4 on the twelfth of this month, there were voices in heaven regarding Abraham, that he was faithful in all that He told him, and that he loved the Lord, and that in every affliction he was faithful. 16. And the prince Mastêmâ came and said before God, “Behold, Abraham loveth Isaac his son, and he delighted in him above all things else; bid him offer him as a burnt-offering on the altar, and Thou wilt see if he will do this command, and Thou wilt know if he is faithful in everything wherein Thou dost try him.” 17 And the Lord knew that Abraham was faithful in all his afflictions; for He had tried him through his country and with famine, and had tried him with the wealth of kings, and had tried him again through his wife, when she was torn (from him), and with circumcision, and had tried him through Ishmael and Hagar, his maidservant, when he sent them away. 18 And in everything wherein He had tried him, he was found faithful, and his soul was not impatient, and he was not slow to act; for he was faithful and a lover of the Lord.
Footnotes:
According to the chronology of our Book Isaac was twenty-three years old when he was offered up; according to the Seder Olam, he was thirty-seven.
Although the Book of Genesis does not mention him, Christians often identify the serpent in the Garden of Eden as Satan. In the Synoptic Gospels, Satan tempts Jesus in the desert and is identified as the cause of illness and temptation. In the Book of Revelation, Satan appears as a Great Red Dragon, who is defeated by Michael the Archangel and cast down from Heaven. He is later bound for one thousand years but is briefly set free before being ultimately defeated and cast into the Lake of Fire.
First Mention in the Old Testament
1 Chronicles 21:1 “The Adversary [Satan] now rose against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.
Job 1:6-12 “6 It happened one day that the sons of God came to serve Adonai [The Lord], and among them came the Adversary [Satan]. 7 Adonai asked the Adversary [Satan], “Where are you coming from?” The Adversary answered Adonai, “From roaming through the earth, wandering here and there.” 8 Adonai asked the Adversary, “Did you notice my servant Job that there’s no one like him on earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and shuns evil?” 9 The Adversary answered Adonai, “Is it for nothing that Job fears God? 10 You have put a protective hedge around him, his house, and everything he has. You have prospered his work, and his livestock is spread out all over the land. 11 But if you reach out your hand and touch whatever he has, without doubt, he will curse you to your face.” 12 Adonai said to the Adversary, “Here. Everything he has is in your hands, except that you are not to lay a finger on his person.” Then the Adversary went out from the presence of Adonai.”
[He had to remain alive to get testimony to the Lord as to Job’s faithfulness. His death would not have saved a witness to the foreknowledge of Jehovah.]
Job 2:1-7 “1 Another day came when the sons of God came to serve Adonai, and among them came the Adversary to serve Adonai. 2 Adonai asked the Adversary [Satan], “Where are you coming from?” The Adversary answered Adonai, “From roaming through the earth, wandering here and there.” 3 Adonai asked the Adversary, “Did you notice my servant Job, that there’s no one like him on earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and shuns evil, and that he still holds on to his integrity, even though you provoked me against him to destroy him for no reason?” 4 The Adversary answered Adonai, “Skin for skin. A person will give up everything he has to save his life. 5 But if you reach out your hand and touch his flesh and bone, without doubt, he will curse you to your face.” 6 Adonai said to the Adversary, “Here. He is in your hands, except that you are to spare his life.” 7 Then the Adversary went out from the presence of Adonai and struck Job down with horrible, infected sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.”
King James Version Bible Psalm 109:4-8:
Psalm 109:4-8 “4 For my love, they are my adversaries [Satan]: but I give myself unto prayer. 5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. 6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. 7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. 8 Let his days be few and let another take his office.” [KJV]
Complete Jewish Bible Psalm 109:4-8:
Psalm 109:4-8 “4 In return for my love they became my accusers [Satan], even though I prayed for them. 5 They repay me evil for good and hatred for my love. 6 [They say,] “Appoint a wicked man over him, may an accuser [Satan] stand at his right. 7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty, may even his plea be counted a sin. 8 May his days be few, may someone else take his position.” [CJB]
King David in verses 4 and 6 of his adversaries – of the evil people in his kingdom who were against him.
Zechariah 3:1-2 “1 He showed me Yehoshua [Joshua] the Cohen HaGadol [High Priest] standing before the angel of Adonai, with the Accuser [Satan] standing at his right to accuse him. 2 Adonai said to the Accuser, “May Adonai rebuke you, Accuser. Indeed, may Adonai, who has made Jerusalem his choice, rebuke you. Isn’t this man a burning stick [Log] snatched from the fire?”
The log represents the returned Jews who had nearly been consumed by the “fire” of the Babylonian captivity.
- Lord [H 3168]: “yeh-ho-vaw” Yahweh/YHWH – Jehovah, “the self-existing One”, the proper name of the one true God. Job 1:6-12, 38, 40, and 42.

Sons of God [Fallen Angels – the Watchers]
Genesis 6:2-4 “2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also, after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

- 2 Peter 2:4 “For if God did not [even] spare angels that sinned but threw them into [b]hell and sent them to pits of gloom to be kept [there] for judgment.”
- 2 Peter 2:4: For emphasis Peter uses a word (Tartarus) from Greek mythology describing a hell reserved for the most horrendous of people to emphasize the terrible doom awaiting false prophets and teachers who manipulate and twist the truth of the gospel message.
God [H 430]: el-o-heem. Plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:—angels, × exceeding, God (gods), (very) great, judges, and mighty.

Psalms 82:1 [God’s of the nation were real] in the council of the most high – in the midst of the Gods – Elohim [over an assembly that he calls his sons] heavenly host in the original Hebrew text [look at online Hebrew and confirm] this scripture has both singular and plural
Psalm 89:7 [other scriptures on gods {the Elohim or general Elohim}
Now go over the word Elohim show Hebrew spelling singular or plural? Bible uses to describe a supernatural or spirit being. Gods of nations (Daniel with the Price of Persia) Demons and Angels and disembodied dead? Yehova is different – no other is Yehova (whole word for God ye ho va via va as the true Trinity (remember the pagan trinity of nimrod, Samarious, Tummuz) Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He is the creator of all other Elohim’s.
God rules with a council but he does not need their help – it is his choice – the saints and ruling and reigning with Christ.
1 Kings 22:19-23 – the hosts of heaven standing beside him. Who will entice Ahab so that he will go up and fall (prophetic prediction) – a spirit said I will go and enter…
Meets with the heavenly host to decide what happens on earth.
God is Spirit – sons of the most high Psalms 82:6
How can he have Jesus and all these other sons John 3:16 which describes Jesus as being the only Son and other scriptures. (begotten) unique – one of a kind – look up the Greek.
In the eastern culture – Kings reigned, and his sons were assigned high ranking jobs – Absalom, Solomon, Jonathan in their government. Physical – and true in Spirit – same thing in the Heavenly Kingdom and then in the New Jerusalem with Jesus.
God wants a family – unseen and the seen world – that is where a problem started with Lucifer. The Garden of Eden – where man turned over the government to the Satan.
Let us create man in our image – God was a trinity – he did not have to tell the Son and Spirit his plan, they were/are a part of him. To whom was he talking? Genesis 1:27
Co-equal, and co-omniscient – Job 38:4 and 7, the sons of God rejoiced at the beginning.

Having total knowledge; knowing everything.
Having universal knowledge; knowing all things; infinitely knowing or wise.
Having total knowledge.
The family represent God – one in the unseen realm and the other in the physical – earth.
Every image is made like the image of God at the moment of conception until our death – it is sacred and leaves room for argument, to be human is a status not a specific ability of our own – otherwise, we do not need his Spirit.
His attribute of freedom or free-will of choice was given to both spiritual sons and the physical sons – and we have fallen short in both areas – not every life is treated as precious and in the image of God. Robots or clones are not truly like God.
Job 15:15 – God does not trust his holy ones Heavenly being and earthly beings in the garden of Eden representing God in two different facets but one.
Rebellion of Lucifer – Ezekiel 28
Serpent in the Garden – Lord of the Dead for every human would die afterward.
Genesis 6 – the Nephilim study – death of the Giants produced Demons. Moses, Joshua, and David were tasked to destroy Anak and their descendants. Some drive out others kill everyone and everything. The 12 Spies we were like grasshoppers – 40 years because of this doubt. Up through the east side of the Jordan and opposite the promised land – Moab and Ammon were spared because Esau had already destroyed them. Bashan the realm of OG last of the Amorites – Rephaim. Amos 2:9 Raised by supernatural rebels. Spiritual warfare – good vs. evil – The only ones left went to the Philistines – the city of Gath – home of Goliath
God through the physical children destroying the cosmic empowered giants – Nephilim. Descendants of rival gods who would stop at nothing to hurt their creator who they rebelled against.
Satan – giants – then demons.
Rebellion of Nimrod – changed the landscape forever but this is what gave God the chance to unveil the salvation of man.
Deuteronomy 32:8-9
Appointed nations at his dividing up of the sons of mankind, he fixed the boundaries of people according to the number of the Sons of God. [at Babel – millennia before Abraham – Isaac – Jacob]
Psalms 82:1-2 talking about the sons of God not judging properly – unjustly and showing favoritism to the wicked. Pronouncement of judgement Psalms 82:6-7 you will die and fall like one of the princes.
Satan – I saw the devil fall like lightening from the sky. The Elohim will be judged, punished, and die like men. No longer immortal and eternal. God is so angry – he condemns them.
Isaiah 24:21
Isaiah 34:2, 4 scholars call cosmic geography – nations around Israel were/are controlled or under the dominion of hostile gods surrounded God’s portion of the earth – Israel – holy ground dirt/earth. Daniel 10:13 – prince of Persia and Greece. [supernatural prince – ruler which influence the physical who choose evil.
Story of Naham the leper and Carville
After babel – god had no relationship with humanity – a family. Thus, Abraham.
The Epic Story of Warfare Against Supernatural rebellion
Supernatural evil has no claim on us (Jesus – Satan has nothing on me) We are God’s sacred space here on earth The Kingdom of God is here already, paradox, but not yet. Look at the bethroyal of Jewish tradition – married but not yet. Joseph and Mary.
Jacob in dying – Genesis 48:15-16 may that Angel bless the boys?
God before whom my fathers
God who shepherded me
God Angel who redeemed me from all evil, may he (not they) bless the boys
Moses – Exodus 23:20-21 – send an angel before you, he will not forgive your trespasses, for in him is my name. God is telling Moses that he is in the angel.
His name can be the word and in a person Isaiah 30:27. Identifies his name in the burning bush of Exodus 3 – I am (all sufficient one – God and the Angel were in the bush)
Jesus revealed his name – John 17:6 and appearance in the OT prepared man to see god in humanity – Jesus (the word was made flesh and I AM that I AM – before Abraham was.
Jehovah space was holy, special, and different from man – the 613 laws help man prepare for a better living space and to appreciate the space tabernacle, first and second temples – and now, we are the temples of the Holy Spirit -a holy space. Then it was the camp of the Israelites – thus the law of sanitary cleanliness, etc. Outside the camp was unholy ground – the scape goat went outside the camp – two goats – one for sacrifice and the other for Azazel (Lev. 16:8-10) to make atonement into the desert – Jesus outside the camp or Jerusalem – the temple which was holy ground.
Thus, the teaching of the tabernacle and the holy place and holy of holies. The Israelites understood holy space, God’s place all the way back to the garden of Eden. The Menorah – the tree of life of the believer. Holy of Holies – the ark of the covenant and the mercy seat – the glory Kavod of God appeared, and we discussed Yom Kippur. The veil protected until the flesh of Christ was torn –
Paul, god hide the mystery of the purpose and death of Jesus. 1 Cor 2:7-8 from Satan or rulers. Forces of spiritual darkness – Jehovah Sneaky. Even the disciples did not understand – Matthew 165:22-23, Jesus had to rebuke Peter – Satan get thee behind me. Divine Secret mission and would not be deterred.
Evil intelligence knew Jesus arrived as the son of god – but not the complete purpose – Matthew 8:28-29 their words never indicate they knew the purpose. Only God is all knowing.
Eden – the death of all mankind and into the deep realm of the pit. Only resurrection would do – and an innocent life for a guilty life. Role of the first-born of the family. BTW, there was no plan B.
John 12;31-32 Jesus threw down his judgment on the evil realm and its prince and his purpose to draw all mankind to him. Satan is the ruler of this world, so he offered it to Jesus – Matthew 4:8-9 Creation asking his creator to worship him – the pride which caused his fall.
Back to where he said the gates of hell – Caesarea Philippi (Roman name) (Bashan – old testament name). The Canaanites believe Bashan had a portal or gateways to hell – i.e., the gates of hell. Strategic place to make this announcement – right at the gates of hell or portal. Jesus was standing at Satans front door – an made the pronouncement of the Ekklesia.
It was located near the base of Mt. Hermon – the place the watchers came down – ground zero for the second rebellion. City of Pan? Pan’s Cave a gateway. Pans Grotto?
Mt. Hermon – transfiguration put the entire spiritual world on notice Mark 9:7 Satan would strike back by entering Judas and the betrayal.
Preparing for his death and the mystery of saving mankind – Matthew 26:64 The High Priest demanded he defend himself Matthew 26:23 I put you under oath by the living God.
Caiaphas tore his robes from top to bottom – why? Jesus answered with a quote from Daniel 7:9, 13-14 the term in the old test is understood as being only attributed to God and the clouds. Psalm 104:3 clouds his chariot. God was on the throne so the one coming on the clouds was a different person – Jesus. Jewish tradition has two powers in heaven or two Yahweh’s.
Psalms 22 – “the bulls of Bashan” ground zero for demonic activity – meaning the powers of darkness surround him at the cross. Center of worship of Bal – symbolized by bulls, etc. 2022 Ceremony
C.S. Lewis – when Aslan was slain – the hideous demons with the witch. Yet, Aslan said there was a deeper magic – turning his seeming defeat into victory – same with Jesus on the cross.
Pentecost Acts 2;2-4 Ezekiel 1:1, 4 compared to the wind and confusion at Babel. Reversing the judgement at Babel. It was a slap in the face to the gods of the surrounding nations. Matthew 28:18-19
Cosmic Geography Ephesians 6 – reflects the positions of demon’s control.
With Ichabod, Where is God’s presence today – we are the temple of the HG. 1 Cor 6:19, Eph 2:19-22
Men (Enoch – Gen 5:22-24) praying on behalf of the Watchers – a picture of the Time when we will Judge Angels. Angels were imprisoned by God – and 1 Peter 3:18-22 to announce their doom.
Since Jesus was in the realm of the dead, they thought they had won but on the third day he arose to prove his victory.
Water Baptism is a declaration of whose side you have chosen – it is spiritual warfare.
Sharing the divine nature – 2 Peter 1:4 being like God – the Elohim
Our example of Jesus as man/God is what we will become – Heb 2:8-13 Rom 8:29 acknowledged to the Divine Council. Simple John 3:2 we will be like him.

LUCIFER (Φωσφόρος):
By: Kaufmann Kohler
Septuagint translation of “Helel [read “Helal”] ben Shaḥar” (= “the brilliant one,” “son of the morning”), name of the day, or morning, star, to whose mythical fate that of the King of Babylon is compared in the prophetic vision (Isa. xiv. 12-14). It is obvious that the prophet in attributing to the Babylonian king boastful pride, followed by a fall, borrowed the idea from a popular legend connected with the morning star; and Gunkel (“Schöpfung und Chaos,” pp. 132-134) is undoubtedly correct when he holds that it represents a Babylonian or Hebrew star-myth similar to the Greek legend of Phaethon. The brilliancy of the morning star, which eclipses all other stars, but is not seen during the night, may easily have given rise to a myth such as was told of Ethana and Zu: he was led by his pride to strive for the highest seat among the star-gods on the northern mountain of the gods (comp. Ezek. xxviii. 14; Ps. xlviii. 3 [A.V. 2]), but was hurled down by the supreme ruler of the Babylonian Olympus. Stars were regarded throughout antiquity as living celestial beings (Job xxxviii. 7).
The familiarity of the people of Palestine with such a myth is shown by the legend, localized on Mount Hermon, the northern mountain of Palestine and possibly the original mountain of the gods in that country, of the fall of the angels under the leadership of Samḥazai (the heaven-seizer) and Azael (Enoch, vi. 6 et seq.; see Fall of Angels). Another legend represents Samḥazai, because he repented of his sin, as being suspended between heaven and earth (like a star) instead of being hurled down to Sheol (see Midr. Abḳir in Yalḳ. i. 44; Raymund Martin, “Pugio Fidei,” p. 564). The Lucifer myth was transferred to Satan in the pre-Christian century, as may be learned from Vita Adæ et Evæ (12) and Slavonic Enoch (xxix. 4, xxxi. 4), where Satan-Sataniel (Samael?) is described as having been one of the archangels. Because he contrived “to make his throne higher than the clouds over the earth and resemble ‘My power’ on high,” Satan-Sataniel was hurled down, with his hosts of angels, and since then he has been flying in the air continually above the abyss (comp. Test. Patr., Benjamin, 3; Ephes. ii. 2, vi. 12). Accordingly Tertullian (“Contra Marrionem,” v. 11, 17), Origen (“Ezekiel Opera,” iii. 356), and others, identify Lucifer with Satan, who also is represented as being “cast down from heaven” (Rev. xii. 7, 10; comp. Luke x. 18).
